About Event

This book club is curated for Black Women, providing a brave space to share and exchange insights, opinions, and dialogue on We Refuse: A Forceful History of Black Resistance by Kellie Carter Jackson as our read. This book urges us to move past false choice, offering an unflinching examination of the breadth of Black response to White oppression, particularly those pioneered by Black Women. We ask that participants come to each meet up ready to engage, chill, listen, and/or discuss the scheduled chapters. Participants MUST purchase their book, we are encouraging books be purchased from We are LIT Multicultural Bookshop.
